This morning the boys woke up before me and dressed themselves.  We had picked out their clothes last night and put them in a specific place in their room.  So in the morning, they were pretty proud to get dressed right away.  That was nice because I didn't have to hear Gavin cry and scream about how he needs help with his clothes, not even his socks!  Get this...he even had his shoes on!!  I wonder if Jace had helped him because I have found Jace putting Gavin's socks for him before.  He is such a good brother :).

It seemed like we were going to have a good morning, but then it all fell apart.  I began typing out my lesson plan for the Beehives.  I had asked Kaylei Powers to teach for me (she loved doing it in the past).  I let her know that I had already planned out the lesson and would bring it over to her before we left out of town.  I really did have the lesson planned out, I just needed to type it up so she would understand what to do.  So I was working on that and the kids were eating breakfast.  Everything seemed great....then....Gavin kept complaining at me about different things and the other kids began randomly fighting.  When I finished the lesson, I realized that my foot and ankle was swollen and bruised all the way around.  I guess my Krav Maga test was more brutal on me than I thought.  It was beginning to hurt quite a bit, so I sat down and first took some pictures, then I iced it for a little while.  It was beginning to get late, so I needed to begin getting packed and ready for our trip to Wyoming.

I was folding some clothes when Cosette found a picture of Jesus with children.  She started talking in an adoring voice, as if she was talking to a baby, "Oh, its Jesus".  Gavin chimed in and said Jesus was gone.  Cosi gasped and said "Jesus gone?  Oh, I miss him!" I told her that he would be back, but while he is gone he will help us to make good choices.  She asked, "Jesus come to my house?"  I told her that yes, he will come to her house when he comes back.  She got excited and again said, "I miss him!"  The cuteness was too overwhelming.

I asked several times to have the kids help pack their stuff, I even wrote out a list of things that each kid would need so Jace could begin to help.  Nothing worked to motivate the kids to do anything for me.  They were all going crazy playing around and messing up the house.  I packed everything and  got really frustrated when I realized how long it was taking me, then I found the house a mess and I was going to have to clean it up before we leave.  I still had to take all the garbage out, clean the dishes, wipe the counters, etc.  I really did not want to increase our fly problem while we were away.  It felt hopeless that we were ever going to get out on the road, so I lost it.  I yelled at the kids and told them they needed to help me because I couldn't do it on my own anymore.  Yes, I lost my temper even though I had just typed up a lesson on "Patience".  Hmmm...Mother of the year, right here.

Anyway, we finally got out at about 2pm.  After picking up my mom and filling up the gas tank, we were finally on the road at about 2:20pm, then we drove straight there, no stops, and arrived at Scott's at about ten minutes to 5pm. Not bad!  Oh, while driving, my mom told me I looked like a gay guy with my hair cut.  I told her that it must not be very masculine then, so she decided to change it to Dyke.  Lovely...thanks Mom.  You're a peach!  As soon as we got out of the car, the kids wanted to see the goats the next door neighbor had in the front yard.  She had two little, black goats on leashes and she was walking them.  They were cute and the kids loved them.  Axton just reached out to them and squealed over and over again.  I love seeing them get so excited about animals.  Within about 5 minutes, Mia managed to break out of the back fence by squeezing through an opening between the fence and the house that was literally about 3 inches wide.  That dumb animal!  Our trip was off to a good start.

I went with Katie to pick up Stephanie from dance because I wanted to see my friend's studio.  She was not there, so I gave myself the grand tour.  It looks really fun and has a lot of space for growth.  She is doing great!  When we came back, I was really hungry and suggested we go out to eat because I didn't want to make anyone cook for us and I needed food fast :).  We went to a Mexican restaurant, and was able to get our own room because our group was pretty big.  It was fun to see the kids running around and playing together.   We had a good day, it was frustrating because Gavin gets really difficult when we do anything different.  It is now over and I am glad for that.  I love you my sweet Wessie-poo, good night!
